The last couple of years have been laden with loss for me. I lost several family members, I changed careers a couple of times and felt an overwhelming loss of identity and friendship during the transition, I lost relationships that were of the utmost importance to me, and in a way I lost pieces of my heart during all these difficult times. This song is about saying goodbye, which for me can sometimes be the hardest thing to do.
